Cookie Policy

Effective date: 15 October 2026

A cookie is a small piece of text that a website asks your browser to keep and hand back on later requests, which is how a site can recognise a returning visitor or remember a setting. Related technologies do the same job by other means: browser storage areas that hold data on your machine, invisible images loaded from another server to signal that a page was opened, and techniques that assemble a fingerprint from your browser's own characteristics.

Paleflux uses none of them. The list below names each one we checked for on this site, published by East trading company s.r.o. so you can verify it rather than take it on faith.

What we checked
Cookies set by this site
Not used. No first-party cookie is set on any page, including this one.
Cookies set by others through this site
Not used. No analytics provider, advertising network, social platform or video service is able to set a cookie here, because none of them is loaded.
localStorage
Not used. Nothing is written to it, which is why ticking a checklist on screen is never remembered.
sessionStorage
Not used. The site holds no session state of any kind.
IndexedDB
Not used. No database is created in your browser.
Tracking pixels
Not used. There are no image files on this site at all; every illustration is drawn by the page itself.
Browser fingerprinting
Not used. No script here reads your fonts, canvas, screen characteristics or hardware details, and none attempts to identify your browser.
Web fonts and third-party scripts
Not used. The typefaces are the ones already on your system, and the only script is a short first-party file that opens the small-screen menu and calls the browser's own print function. The site requests nothing from any other server.
Server access logs
Used. This is the single entry on the list that is not a "no", and it is a record kept on the server rather than anything placed on your machine.
Notes

What does happen instead

When you request a page, our hosting provider records the request in a server log: an IP address, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string. Those logs exist so the site can be kept running and secure, they are kept for 30 days, and then they are deleted. That is the entire extent of what is recorded, and it is described in more detail in the Privacy Policy, which this page agrees with in every particular.

Why there is no banner

Consent banners exist so that a site can ask permission before setting a cookie that is not strictly necessary. There is no such cookie here, and therefore nothing to ask about. A banner on this site would not be a courtesy; it would be a false statement, implying that something is being stored when nothing is.

The checklists do not remember your ticks

The boxes on the course checklists are shapes drawn by the stylesheet, not controls. Nothing is saved when you look at them, nothing is restored when you return, and no localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB entry, fingerprint or pixel is involved. Printing the All checklists page and using a pen is the intended way to keep your place.

After you follow an affiliate link

Two links in the course lead to the website of War Thunder, and they are paid affiliate links. Once you follow one, you are on someone else's site: War Thunder and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains, typically to record where the referral came from. East trading company s.r.o. neither controls nor can switch off anything on those domains. Their own cookie and privacy notices are the ones that apply there, and reading them is worthwhile before you register anything.

Blocking or clearing cookies generally

Every mainstream browser lets you manage this yourself, usually under a settings section named for privacy, security or site data. There you can normally clear existing cookies and site data, block third-party cookies, block cookies altogether, or set the browser to clear everything each time it closes. The exact wording differs between browsers and changes between versions, so the browser's own help pages are the reliable guide. Blocking everything will not affect Paleflux, since there is nothing here to block.

If this ever changes

We do not expect to introduce cookies. If that ever changed, this page would be rewritten and published with a new effective date before any cookie was set, and a working consent mechanism would be in place first — real choices, honoured, with refusing as easy as accepting. Nothing would be set on the strength of a silent update to a policy page.
